Overview
Four bundles with good discounts and a wide variety of skins appear right before the month ends; just in time. There are all kinds of combinations of skins, from sets of reasonably good ones to uneven collections of good and outdated. Would you like more details? Let’s take a closer look at these August bundles.
Masked Menaces
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 10120 -> 5060 RP
Skins’ Price: 5622 -> 2811 RP
This set of skins is rather good. There aren’t any to skip as even the lowest rated have some interesting features to offer. The best are undoubtedly Blood Moon Yasuo and Dragonblade Talon; despite the latter’s age. These two skins don’t feel dragged down by the others but the selection is somewhat eclectic. Provided you like this variety of concepts this isn’t a bad bundle.
Pin the Tail on the Tibbers
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 7562 -> 3781 RP
Skins’ Price: 3962 -> 1981 RP
While Tibbers may not be very happy about the suggestion the bundle has bigger problems than a giant, magical bear ablaze. For the most part the skins are quite good. However, Snow Bunny Nidalee is a simplistic re-texture and Kitty Cat Katarina a fetish that surprises for its ability to stay at a price that doesn’t reflect the few changes it offers. If you can appreciate these two skins for their rarity or ties to events then the bundle could be worthwhile. For most, it’s better to get the specifics on regular sales.
Bolts and Gunpowder
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9988 -> 4994 RP
Skins’ Price: 5790 -> 2895 RP
Truth be told, none of these skins is fascinating enough to justify the deadweight they are accompanied with. Vindicator Vayne and Firefighter Tristana stand out but the rest have significant problems. Not even the legacy label adds value as most, Slayer Jinx excepted, can be got at the annual Legacy Vault sale at an identical discount; sans something unexpected happening. Therefore, a bundle that doesn’t offer much.
Night Hunters
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9430 -> 4715 RP
Skins’ Price: 5022 -> 2511 RP
This is a reasonably good bundle with fine skins. Most of them have some issues that prevent them from achieving greatness but there’s nothing that ruins them. There are some that aren’t at the level of others, though. Specifically, Wicked LeBlanc is too straightforward and simple while Blood Knight Hecarim doesn’t present its theme well enough. Regardless, if you can excuse the bundle’s pitfalls it could be worth considering.

Which skin do you think is a must have on a account?
There isn’t really one that stands above the rest. Surely, the ultimates and legendaries are more elaborate than the cheaper skins and if you like a champion a lot they’ll be able to offer much more than any other. However, they are pretty expensive so there’s always a catch. In the end, it’s a matter of preference as there are cheap skins that do a great job at presenting their theme. Besides, no matter how well implemented a skin is if you don’t like the concept behind it then there’s no point in getting it.
