Overview
Four bundles with a couple of legacy skins and a lot of rather good skins arrive just before May leaves. There’s also quite a bit of the other kinds of skins so, are these bundles worth getting? We’ll see soon enough.
In addition to this, there’s a two for one promotion on rune pages. It can come in handy, especially if you have the IP, to complete the rune book. The sale on boosts and name changes is presumably more niche but can be useful in the right circumstances. Still, the main course is the bundles so we move on to them.
Elemental Titans
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9726 -> 4863 RP
Skins’ Price: 5622 -> 2811 RP
Overall, a rather average bundle with the hightlight being Glacial Malphite. The low point is certainly Charred Maokai which doesn’t have a bad idea behind but suffers from a lacklustre execution at an unsuitable price. The other skins are all rather good even if they fail to excel. All things considered, there’s little reason to go for the bundle unless you like everything in it.
Pierce and Skewer
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 10304 -> 5152 RP
Skins’ Price: 5622 -> 2811 RP
This is quite a good bundle with a set of skins that encompass some rather interesting options for each respective champion. The tempation caused by some not yet discounted skins shouldn’t conceal the fact that they will be on sale soon. Regardless, it’s largely a set of good skins that fans of each champion would enjoy. You might want to get each skin on regular sales, especially if there’s one or more that you aren’t sure about. In general, it’s a bundle with worthwhile offerings even if there’s no advantege over regular sales.
Mobility Creep
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 10124 -> 5062 RP
Skins’ Price: 5622 -> 2811 RP
Quite a nice bundle this one is with the highlight being the legacy offering: Ravenborn LeBlanc. The other skins are all quite nice too and despite some no having reached a sale yet they’re bound to; so that shouldn’t could judgement. Still, the skins are all good so chances are that fans of these champions will like them. Regular sales allow more precise picking but the addition of Ravenborn LeBlanc tips the scales in favour of the bundle. Unless there’s one skin you don’t like, or more, then this is a bundle worth getting.
Summoned Sidekicks
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 10436 -> 5218 RP
Skins’ Price: 6468 -> 3234 RP
The last bundle tries to appeal with the addition of Annie in Wonderland as the legacy pick. Considering that it’s stricly a re-model even at 910 RP it feels a bit simple; despite the attractive reference. The fact that it will most probably be on sale at the Legacy Vault sale, probably at the end of the year, doesn’t make the skin’s addition as significant as it implies. The other skins are all quite good with a couple that stand out significantly: Atlantean Syndra and Wildfire Zyra. The feel is still mixed with regards to the quality of the skins but each one has something appealing to offer; even Annie in Wonderland. It can be a good bundle if said skin isn’t a problem. If not, then regular sales are advised.
