Overview
The classic of each month’s final days: a set of bundles. With skins based on stuns, winter, wings and mercenaries each bundle is an eclectic collection of themes despite a common line between them. While the arrangements are open to discussion what really matters is whether the bundles are worth getting. So, let’s give them a look and check.
Situational Stunners
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 8666 -> 4333 RP
Skins’ Price: 4792 -> 2396 RP
A quick look at the ratings may indicate that this is an uneven bundle but that’s not entirely true. There are three skins that seem to stand above two others in terms of quality. However, both PROJECT: Fiora and Dragonslayer Vayne are quite pleasing skins that only need a bit more to be great; they are still worth considering for fans of each champion. If this set of skins is to your liking you’ll find that while not all skins achieve all they set out to do they never disappoint.
Frigid Frontliners
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 8276 -> 4138 RP
Skins’ Price: 3962 -> 1981 RP
In spite of the legacy label encompassing all of the skins, it isn’t a proper certificate of quality. The best skins can be attractive even with their faults. Sadly, Glacial Olaf and Festive Maokai leave much to be desired with their flaws. The discount means that the price is rather low for legacy skins, nonetheless. So, if you don’t mind these two low points you could save some RP with the bundle. Regardless, it might also be better to simply get the specific skins you like or get one of the Snowdown bundles, with a small discount, along individual skins at the Legacy Vault sale.
These Wings Are Made for Jumping
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9990 -> 4995 RP
Skins’ Price: 5398 -> 2699 RP
While Ironscale Shyvana seems to be the only really worthwhile skin of the bunch the other skins are quite good. The problem is that they lack some extra work to realise their concept in full. Their implementation is still attractive and there’re things to like. However, there’re still some rough edges. If you can accept these skin’s issues and take them for what they do best then this could a bundle. Conversely, you could also just get the specific skins you like during regular sales if you are patient.
Hired Guns
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9802 -> 4901 RP
Skins’ Price: 5398 -> 2699 RP
The star of the bundle is, without doubt, Battlecast Kog’Maw; a skin with quite a fine implementation. Things go downhill from there but never to a bottomless pit. That is, PROJECT: Lucian is rather good but doesn’t manage to communicate its theme as well as it could. Then we have a few re-models with a few touches, here and there, which set them apart from the usual but never enough to achieve greatness. Still, there aren’t any skins that are simply bad. It’s just that for many of the champions there are better options. Ultimately, it’s an uneven combination that can be liked, as there’re interesting options.
