Summary
Period: 30th of April to 7th of May, 2014
Bundles: All-in, Fierce Feral Flarers and Metal > Flesh
Note: the bundles reduce their prices depending on which content you already own. In case you don’t own a champion in a skin bundle the price rises by the champion’s price.
Three new bundles just before April leaves us; which might mean that the May bundles will come late too. There are three clear themes: assassins, junglers and automata. However, the skins aren’t always the best representatives of each concept. With that in mind, let’s see if any of the bundles is worth getting.
Overview
All-in Bundle
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9014 -> 4507 RP
Skins’ Price: 4420 -> 2210 RP
While the low point of the bundle is Headhunter Rengar, due to its drab aesthetic, it’s still a rather nice set with a good selection of skins. The high point is certainly Muay Thai Lee Sin with its fabulous animations. High Noon Yasuo and Shockblade Zed are also great choices and Prestigious LeBlanc doesn’t trail behind despite her modesty.
All in all, it’s an interesting bundle with skins that deliver something unique and that is well worth considering.
Fierce Feral Flarers Bundle
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 7650 -> 3825 RP
Skins’ Price: 4874 -> 2437 RP
The jungler’s bundle is rather uneven even if, for the most part, the skins aren’t bad. The problem is that there are better options for both Xin Zhao and Master Yi than Winged Hussar and Ionia, respectively. Feral Warwick is a classical take on a werewolf that probably shouldn’t be legacy, Frozen Terror Nocturne is a satisfying icy version of the Eternal Nightimare and Nemesis Jax is a fine option with a distinct colour scheme but not the best implementation.
In general, it’s not a bad bundle but the quality of the skins varies and so it probably will ask for some unwanted compromises to get the best skins. For many, it might be better to rely on regular sales, with a lot of patience.
Metal > Flesh Bundle
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 10020 -> 5010 RP
Skins’ Price: 6000 -> 3000 RP
In spite of the high price, this could be one of the best bundles and a fantastic option for the fan of robots, androids, automata and related artificial entities. The most expensive skins offer sufficient additions to justify their price and end up providing an attractive visual spectacle. The cheaper ones aren’t bad either and Full Metal Rammus could teach a thing or two to its more expensive colleagues. Bladecraft Orianna seems a humble entry in the bundle but the interesting and appealing design of the skin makes it worthwhile for her fans.
In the end, it’s the most expensive bundle of the three but there’s quality in it. All of the skins are pleasing to use and never leave a sour aftertaste regardless of their complexity.

zeroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo i told u astronautilus will go on sale 🙂
It was just a matter of time.
zero ive been having a problem recently,the old legendary skins look so apealing to me and tempt me alot for some reason but my wallet does not agree 😀 for some reason i like for instance nunu bot more than aether wing kayle or eternum nocturne!the old legendaries just look so cool to me….
The thing is that most of the old legendary skins are nice but they also show their age. For instance, some of them might be the best skin that the respective champions have available and the concept could be quite appealing on its own. However, they usually economize on particles, animations or sounds. The result is that while interesting they aren’t always at the level that the investment of a legendary demands.
If you are a great fan of a specific champion you could consider an old legendary. However, it could be possible that a new skin at a lower price could be just as good or close. Nowadays the technical level of skins has risen so before you take the plunge be mindful that a more recent skin could be just as good.
for instance nunu bot,very small changes in particles but the model has become something amazing!the walk animation and the particles on absolute zero are enough to real u in!i dunno it just looks really cool to me
We agree that it has its charm and there’s nothing wrong in liking an old legendary like Nunu Bot. It won’t be at the level of most recent legendaries but if you do like it a lot then you wouldn’t mind its imperfections. The key is whether you like it enough to make the expense worthwhile.
