Overview
Another month comes to an end and another set of four bundles come to wave it goodbye. There’s an eclectic mix of old and new skins with some rather remarkable ones. However, bundles tend to join impressive skins with less exciting alternatives. Then, do the bundles add up in quality to be worth getting? Let’s take a look.
Death by a Thousand Ticks
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 8572 -> 4286 RP
Skins’ Price: 4792 -> 2396 RP
For the most part this is a good bundle. The low point is certainly Surfer Singed: a joke turned re-model at 975 RP. Djinn Malzahar also strikes as simple but the price is sensible and the concept fitting. Spirit Fire Brand needs some extra work for its price as it doesn’t seem to improve much on Cryocore but is a fine option. Bioforge Darius is a skin with a novel feature and Jade Fang Cassiopeia is all around attractive.
In conclusion, the best skins are dragged down by some suboptimal companions. So, unless you like all the skins it’s better to get the individual ones you prefer.
Just Another Yordle
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 8276 -> 4138 RP
Skins’ Price: 4792 -> 2396 RP
A bundle with a vintage air but the oldest skins still have their charm; especially Blacksmith Poppy. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about Kennen M.D.: another joke as a re-model at 975 RP. Both Wicked Lulu and Master Arcanist Ziggs are quite attractive skins with traditional concepts but satisfying executions.
Therefore, once again, the best skins get questionable accompaniment from subpar colleagues. If you just like the best skins then regular sales are the better choice.
Hook, Line, and Sinker
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 8834 -> 4417 RP
Skins’ Price: 5022 -> 2511 RP
Surprisingly, this is a bundle with no real bad options. It could be said that Battle Boss Blitzcrank isn’t up to its tier’s level but the distinct model makes the skin special. The rest of skins, even an old one like Coral Reef Malphite, are all well worth the expense if you like the champions. They all have good concepts and great executions which makes the overall quality quite remarkable.
In few words, this is a bundle to get if you like these champions and the respective skins. You may prefer to rely on regular sales if some skins aren’t appealing but this bundle’s good selection doesn’t ask for sacrifices.
Q Spam Bundle
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 7712 -> 3856 RP
Skins’ Price: 3514 -> 1757 RP
The eclectic selection of skins in this bundle is actually its biggest weakness. Although there are some rather nice skins, like Bloodstone Lissandra and Masquerade Evelynn, there are others that simply don’t do much to be of interest. Specifically, Nottingham Ezreal is too simplistic, even for its low price, to be worthwhile. Also, Academy Vladimir doesn’t exactly do much of an effort to realise its theme. Junkyard Trundle is good for what it offers: a post-apocalyptic troll warrior.
In the end, this is an evidently uneven bundle. Unless you like the whole selection it’s better to simply get what you like with regular salse and the yearly Legacy Vault Sale.
