Introduction: Come with the Blizzard
The Constable turned the corner and looked at his Captain following him. It was bad enough to be under supervision about the incident with the club but, did it have to be the Captain supervising him? Of course, it had. He had told him, in his calm voice, “I’ll be watching you.” Now the Constable understood how literal it was. The factory, again, and frozen as usual. It was once every week. Why couldn’t this scientist be more careful and just avoid risky experiments?
They entered through the front door and quivered. For summer, the temperature was in single digits or below which prompted the two policemen to raise the collar of their jackets; for the good it’d do them. Through the corridor they entered the main production room, repurposed as a laboratory, where the scientist was; cowering behind a machine. In front of him, or the machine to be precise, was a portal spewing a blizzard. The scientist, covered in snow and blue like a cryo-tank, looked at them and said: “It’s not me this time!” That was not exact.
They managed to get the blue man from the lab and he explained that he had been experimenting with multiple universes and other stuff. He got rather technical to the boredom of the policemen. The Captain just interposed: “Close it, now.” “It’s not so simple, I have to calculate the…” They heard a rumble, a roar and a cut in thin air. They ran to the lab and saw a strange creature, almost made of metal, look at them and leap out of a window. “Well, portal closed, Governor.” “What was that creature? This is so fascinating.” “That thing better not start making a mess of my city.” The Constable shuddered, things weren’t looking up.
