Introduction: Way to Hell
The most respected masters gathered in what was usually only a yearly meeting but this time prompted by the dire situation they were in. Bandits had gotten in their library and as part of the ransacking, inadvertently or not, had opened a portal to hell. “It’s nothing we haven’t seen before.” “Is this really the reason why we’ve been summoned?” “A first year student could close that portal, what’s all the fuss about.” It was a simple gesture of the hand, pointing, that gave them the answer. Following the direction of the finger they could reach the garden to find the only creature that had escaped from the infernal fields: a taurudemon.
“Taurudemon? You really are becoming worse at naming this spawns of evil.” “I do what I can. Besides, that’s hardly our most pressing concern.” The head master said. The demon stomped, slammed and charged against the reinforced walls of the library with blasts of flame at every strike. “The walls will resist, as they were designed to, but it surely isn’t a comforting view.” “Besides, that thing has certainly ruined the garden flowers.” “That’s most unsettling.” Coming from the botanical master, there was an implicit threat in it. She gestured with her hand a circle around the demon’s head and tendrils lashed to it, they tightened and brought him to his knees and then tied the horns to the floor. “At least now it won’t make so much noise.”
“That takes care of the ruckus. Now, how do we kick that thing through the portal.” The demolition master wasn’t one for subtlety and he was always taken seriously for that. “That not a bad idea. How about we kick the demon through the portal then?” “Not literally I hope.” “Of course not, we can propel the thing towards the portal with a well placed, controlled blast.” “I can do that.” “The problem is that the portal is in here.” “How did it go out then?” Every master looked at each other searching for a question. “Then, we’ll have to take out the wall or move the portal.” Hands were raised in favour of the second; the walls has taken too much work and time. “Well, technically we’ll have to close this portal and open a new one. You are all aware of the price of opening an infernal portal, right? Volunteers?”
