Summary
Period: 24th to 31st of August, 2017
Bundles: ??? Spam, Catch Me If You Can, The Extremely Large Bundle and Just Wait, I Scale
Note: the bundles include the respective champions and reduce their prices depending on which content you already own. In case you don’t own a champion or skin in a bundle the price rises by the appropriate price.
Overview
As August leaves a new quartet of bundles offers skins. The discount is identical to any regular sale so there’s no advantage from buying in bulk; as always. With that in mind, if there are any bundles that are chock full of good skins there’s no reason to skip it. However, if compromises need to be made then regular sales are better options. So, let’s see what we have here.
??? Spam
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9184 -> 4592 RP
Skins’ Price: 4798 -> 2399 RP
A good bundle full of good skins. PROJECT: Zed stands out a bit with its eye-catching particles and Death Blossom Kha’Zix isn’t bad either. For the most part, though, while this isn’t a bad bundle there’s nothing impressive.
Catch Me If You Can
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 7800 -> 3900 RP
Skins’ Price: 4792 -> 2396 RP
There are skins that easily rise above others and one that unavoidably sinks. Truth be told, the best skins are worth getting but with the deadweight of Groovy Zilean attached to them it’s better to wait for a regular sale and get what you actually like. If not, the point of saving money is lost by buying skins that simply aren’t good enough.
The Extremely Large Bundle
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 8310 -> 4155 RP
Skins’ Price: 4798 -> 2399 RP
Overall, this is a bundle with good skins. Some are better than others but there isn’t a large margin. Still, the best ones may be better got in a regular sale unless you also like the others. True, neither Dreadknight Nasus nor Worldbreaker Hecarim are bad skins but they could’ve been better.
Just Wait, I Scale
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 8806 -> 4403 RP
Skins’ Price: 5022 -> 2511 RP
This is a rather good bundle in general but Gangster Twith is simplistic in comparison and Arclight Vayne unable to hide the evident rough edges. The other skins have more appeal but there’s nothing really bad. It’s just that the better skins may be better caught individually.

I don’t even know why they bother with bundles. 90% of them are just bad and they know it, we always get dead-weight skins or just skins that make no sense in the bundle
We agree but there may be a reason they keep doing them. Someone must be buying them even if there’s absolutely no advantage compared to regular sales; on the contrary. If we were talking of more generous discounts or extra content it could be understandable but, like this, we don’t know.
When is the Ornn skin review coming out? Quite a lot of.time has passed since his release.
Also, any plans on updating older champions reviews? Karma, Trundle, Sion etc all have older splashes reviewed.
Ornn’s skin review is available here.
There are over a hundred splash arts to update but we are slowly doing so. Karma, for instance, has been updated. Sorry for the inconvenience.
