Overview
Two skin bundles and one champion bundle to finish the penultimate month of the year. The discounts are good for the former but the latter is far from exciting. So, are the bundles worth getting? Let’s see.
Pink Power
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 8102 -> 4051 RP
Skins’ Price: 4798 -> 2399 RP
This is clearly a polarized bundle. On the one hand we have nice skins like Star Guardian Lux and the two Order of the Lotus ladies. They may all be skins that could be better but they are great nonetheless. On the other hand, there’s Ionia Master Yi and Armor of the Fifth Age Taric. The first is a set of glamorous model changes and the second an option with a niche audience.
Adding all up, unless you can’t wait to be saved by a Star Guardian and join the Order of the Lotus there’s too much baggage to make the jump; unless you like the less convincing skins. For most, a good amount of RP can be saved by relying on regular sales; especially now that they’ve expanded.
Carry Collection
Discount: 30%
Total Price: 5194.3 -> 3636 RP
In general this is a fine collection of champions. They are all appealing and effective so everyone is bound to enjoy them. The problem is that Miss Fortune and Corki can be unlocked with IP without too much trouble. Additionally, if you want to spend RP on the rest then a regular champion sale will save more RP.
In conclusion, unless you can’t wait for an infusion of marksmen and markswomen then it’s a lot of money for stuff you can get for far less.
Punch First
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 8850 -> 4425 RP
Skins’ Price: 5038 -> 2519 RP
This is a rather convincing bundle as there aren’t any really bad offerings. The most expensive skins offer quite a bit and the cheapest have a unique identity. The problem is that in some cases there’re better options for the associated champions. In particular, while Knockout Lee Sin is a nice boxing skin if you just want a new fighting style for the Blind Monk then Muay Thai is a far better option. In addition to this, Definitely Not Udyr is a skin with a distinct personality but the funny angle may not appeal to everyone. Besides, a better integration with his spirits is provided by Primal.
If both Knockout Lee Sin and Definitely Not Udyr sound interesting then the other skins won’t disappoint as they are quite satisfying. If you rather choose other options for these two champions then the bundle becomes less attractive.
