Summary
Period: 17th to 24th of March, 2015

Overview
Mystery Skins are back this March as well as three themed bundles. Let’s take a look and see if there’s anything interesting.
Dragonslayer Bundle
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9102 -> 4551 RP
Skins’ Price: 5578 -> 2789 RP
Extras: Dragonslayer Ward, Poro Ward (Legacy) and Poro Icon (Legacy)
This is a bundle with good skins though Vayne’s and Jarvan’s are just re-models that stay appealing due to the need of the classic counterparts to be updated to current technical standards. If you own all the champions you’ll be paying 765 RP for wards and an icon which is something that not everyone will appreciate. Therefore, unless you are a dedicated Dragonslayer fan this isn’t such a great deal.
Mecha Bundle
Discount: 40%
Total Price: 7475 -> 4485 RP
Skins’ Price: 4940 -> 2964 RP
Extras: Mecha Ward and Icon
The Mecha skins are an expensive set and while a 40% discount isn’t bad it’s still not the same as half price. After all, skin after skin the difference in price adds up to 405 RP; had it been 50% off. Additionally, while Malphite’s is a skin that goes an extra step to justify the high price the others don’t make the most of the theme. Add to that the fact that you’d be expending 534 RP on a ward and an icon and if you aren’t a huge fan of the Mechas then this isn’t such a great option.
LCS Outlaws Bundle
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9740 -> 4872 RP
Skins’ Price: 5246 -> 2623 RP
This is a rather uneven bundle even if unfattened by trinkets. The star of the set is Ravenborn LeBlanc a great legacy skin for half the price. Such generosity comes at a price: Rumble in the Jungle is a simple skin with price that holds no relation to what it offers. The others aren’t bad skins but don’t stand out as much as they could’ve; except for Shockblade Zed. All in all, this is a bundle to get only if its low points aren’t an issue. If not, it doesn’t really stand as a great deal.

What is your stance on Mystery gifts, are the worth opening or would you say buying a skin and knowing what you get it better and safer ?
The thing with Mystery Skins or Gifts is that there are over five hundred skins in the game so the chance of getting a skin you like, let alone a specific one, is minimal. There are quite a lot of good skins in the game and the thrill of the surprise is always attractive.
On the other hand, a Mystery Skin costs 490 RP so if you follow sales you wouldn’t be saving much unless we consider skins at 1350 RP or more. However, such skins are a minority so the probability of getting a worthwhile skin, in terms of price, is quite low.
We’d say that Mystery Skins and Gifts are alright if you take them for what they are: a gamble. However, if you want to use them as a way of saving money, it’s better to rely on sales.
