Period: 29th of May to 1st of June, 2015
Skins: Pool Party Lee Sin, Fiddle Me Timbers and Tango Twisted Fate
Champions: Jinx, Maokai and Pantheon
Fun at a pool party, rum for the old bones and a tango to finish the night; it feels like we’ve been there last September. Never mind, this sounds like a rather hedonistic weekend sale so, if you have some spare time, there’s fun to be had.
Casual clothes and a relaxed attitude make Pool Party Lee Sin appear like a confident, street martial artist. The fixed coconut drink can be annoying and the skin doesn’t have a rather elaborate theme or execution to start with. Nevertheless, it can be an acceptable distraction for fans of the Blind Monk.
While not actually a full re-model Fiddle Me Timbers isn’t far from one. The changes are effective at dressing him as a corsair with a silly yet appealing style. There aren’t any further changes but as a supernatural take on a scarecrow with a pirate angle it’s quite attractive. For fans of Fiddlesticks it’s a modest but interesting skin.
The style employed to make Tango Twisted Fate stands between fact and fiction never truly embracing neither. As such, it can feel preposterous yet boring depending on what features are noticed. The result is still rather good at its price though it could be better implemented.
Mayhem and destruction are pure fun for Jinx and she’ll happily welcome guests to partake in her celebrations; limbs to yourselves, if you know what’s good for you. Explosions don’t discriminate and neither does Jinx: she even helps save IP if you are running low on it; but RP will be required.
With his nature being quite evident Maokai knows well enough how to avoid farming IP. If you need a big hand in that respect he’s willing; though have your RP ready.
Finally, when not found at the bakery Pantheon is a man of battle. If you need a warrior he’s always eager to fight and as his IP price is manageable there’s no need to spend RP.
Firecrackers are lots of fun but those things have to be handled with care if you want to keep all your fingers. As such, until they pass Jinx safety measures, which mean enjoying as much as possible, they won’t be discounted. That doesn’t mean that Jinx forgets sales. On the contrary, if you want an offer that you can’t refuse then you better didn’t say no to her October Mafia outfit. If you did she may make the offer again in the future but it could be to sleep with the fishes.
There’ll be a time when Maokai becomes a famous Goalkeeper and he puts his merchandise on sale. In the meantime, we can only think of his famous Totemic designs; which were last seen on October. The only alternative is Charred bark which, understandably, he isn’t keen to sport. That’s why it hasn’t been around since April 2014 and if you ask Maokai it can stay waiting.
Just like in the battlefield, Pantheon is a Ruthless merchant when sales are concerned; as he demonstrated in March. For instance, last December he appeared in Full Metal to promote the respective sale. He didn’t forget the middle of the year so in July his Myrmidon armour was also offered. For some reason, he hasn’t been seen as a Glaive Warrior since January 2014; perhaps there are some issues with that armour.
