Period: 23rd to 26th of April, 2013
Skins: Muay Thai Lee Sin, Enchanted Galio and Chosen Master Yi
Champions: Mordekaiser, Urgot and Jayce
A long awaited fighter finally joins us in the realm of sales. Muay Thai Lee Sin is definitely the sale’s star with his new eight-limb animations. The animations don’t entirely redefine his fighting style but still keep Muay Thai recognizable. Fans of Lee Sin or martial arts shouldn’t pass this opportunity as it’s a skin with a distinct and attractive personality.
Chosen Master Yi still stands proud among the myriad of futuristic skins that challenge but fail to erase the appeal of his lightsaber. This is nothing new to Star Wars fans as chances are that they already own this Jedi. Regardless, from a purely sci-fi view the skin has a simple but pleasing style that doesn’t fall out of fashion.
Enchanted Galio isn’t bad but it seems like it could’ve been better with some added work. As a simple re-texture it is eye-catching enough and doesn’t look plain at all. However, with all the potential magical energy flowing in Galio a more elaborate display would’ve been welcome. It’s alright as it is but seems like it could be much more.
This week Jayce appears and if all the attention isn’t put on him there’s something wrong: he would tell you that. Regardless of his opinion, there’s some merit to his megalomania. For starters, Haters of IP-farming will find a good opportunity to cut on this nefarious activity.
Moreover, Full Metal Jayce is being anti-discounted, that is a price raise on the 25th, so this proves a good chance to catch the Defender of Tomorrow fully suited. You can always wait for another sale on Full Metal Jayce but if you don’t want to wait then this is the time.
Neither Mordekaiser nor Urgot are worth unlocking with RP as their IP prices are low enough. However, if you don’t want to let Battlecast Urgot reach the 25th without being in your possession then it could prove an interesting opportunity. Unfortunately, Mordekaiser doesn’t have anything similar to offer.
