Overview
Cursed minerals, tough looks and a wood nymph reach the first weekend of October. It’s not as exciting as it sounds but there could be something of interest. Make sure with the sale overview.

Conclusion:
The sale doesn’t have a good opener despite returning from November, 2013: Blight Crystal Varus is a letdown. The new model isn’t very clear about changing his corruption to a crystal form and can seem like an, albeit distinct, change of clothes. The new yellow arrows seem to intend to further the theme but the presence of classic particles leaves doubts. The result is inconsistent and unfocused which makes it a skin with, probably, a good idea behind that wasn’t properly executed; a green fruit that wasn’t allowed the time to ripen.
For Rugged Garen the rough part seems to have been lost in translation. The tough looks are there but as superficial and artificial as one could expect. Every element appears new and crafted to give the idea of a veteran but in the way that a child dresses like an adult. The look is fitting still but feels like the pretences of a green soldier.
With some model changes Dryad Soraka tries to turn her from a child of the stars from one of the forests. The classic visage is pretty evident but there is a more earthly style. The green colour palette can feel monochromatic but the idea is conveyed even if not as well as it could. All in all, it’s a fine skin but more green that dryad.

Conclusion:
IP savers should know that this week they can rely on the mystical help of Bard as long as they have a good amount of RP. If instead they prefer raw might then Volibear can lend a paw; though quite a bit of RP is still necessary. Lastly, Akali seems to have a budding kunoichi business: as she has a rather attractive IP price, no need to use RP.
As a rather recent arrival to the League, Bard isn’t yet ready to deal with sales. For this reason we’ll have to be patient before we can see the blue lights of Elderwood lighting safe passage through the forests. Take care out there.
It’s not yet time for a Captain to be reducing the fees at the training academy; there’s a reputation to protect. Therefore, Volibear has concentrated his attention in other matters this year. Specifically, he discounted his Rune Guard in June, his Thunder Lord armour in May and his Northern Storm gear in January. That seems to be all for now and we better don’t complain about it either: he’s not known for being patient.
The Headhunter club is an exclusive matter where only a few are accepted. Knowing that well Akali won’t start dispensing discounts left and right soon but her kamas will swing in all directions nonetheless. Perhaps there’s some shadowy activity going on as she had only time to offer her services as a Nurse this year, in September. Since November and July, 2014, her Blood Moon and Silverfang costumes haven’t been seen in the market so something is amiss.
