Period: 13th to 16th of February, 2015
Skins: Grim Reaper Karthus, Wicked LeBlanc and Monarch Kog’Maw
Champions: Jinx, Viktor and Malphite
A harvester, an aristocrat and a butterfly appear in this weekend sale. Things appear to look quite interesting.
Technically, Grim Reaper Karthus disappoints as it only offers a few model changes that never stray far from the classic base. With regards to the concept, it’s a delicious skin with, probably, one of the best ideas behind it. The sum of its parts is good so it’s a fine option for fans of Karthus.
Unless you are a fan of the 101 Dalmatians Wicked LeBlanc is a skin that doesn’t offer much. The new clothing is fitting and has style but it’s all about the reference. If you are interested in a change of clothes for the Deceiver and a tribute then the skin delivers.
While the model changes are minor they are also significant. They not only effectively transmit the message but also give the skin a clear identity. The flutter animation is icing on the cake that cements the theme. If you are a fan of Kog’Maw then Monarch is a cheap and recommended option.
To avoid farming IP let the mayhem loose with Jinx, Pow-Pow, Fishbones and Zapper! Those with a more intellectual angle can join the Glorious Evolution but Viktor is usually too busy to fully dedicate to IP. At least they are of some help because Malphite isn’t interested in IP; in fact his price is low enough that it won’t take long to hire him.
Currently fascinated by fireworks a Firecracker is the best present that Jinx could ask for; except for a bag of explosives or similar set of toys. That sounds like good news. If Jinx is entertained then she won’t be making offers that we can’t refuse and last October she did just that. She seems to like the style of the Mafia very much.
Last January the Creator visited and presented his last batch of Battlecast products. He’s a genius but also with a flair for marketing. That may explain why his Full Machine and Prototype versions haven’t been seen since December and October, 2013. Those old products aren’t what they used to be though new ones haven’t really improved with all the tinkering.
The Shard of the Monolith has seen his wardrobe reduced to half its size by the influence of the Legacy Vault. Fortunately, his Mecha alternative is a good offering that we can eagerly await. Additionally, Malphite can offer his Glacial and Obisidian versions which were last discounted on July and April, 2014. There’s still something left, at least.
