Overview
A green, cheap and unexciting sale is upon us this weekend. While the idea is to commemorate Saint Patrick’s Day with a few fitting, legacy skins, not many will find much to like. Still, let’s give it a quick look.

Conclusion:
Shamrock Malphite is mostly green Malphite with some shamrocks added for variety. There’re new particles for Seismic Shard but they don’t really stand out. All in all, it’s an unimpressive skin for the Shard of the Monolith.
Leprechaun Veigar manages an acceptable look due to distinct model changes and a few extra touches for a couple of his abilities. On the whole, it delivers on its promise but isn’t anything striking.
Emerald Taric is as simple as it could possibly be: a mere re-colour. The skin only provides the same classic textures but with a green tint. If you’d like a green Gem Knight then this is it because there’s absolutely nothing else.
Champions:
| Zyra | |
| Swain | Sona |
Conclusion:
With the help of Zyra the thorns embrace and crush all weed to make farming IP a much easier prospect. The direction of Swain is also very helpful to optimize the amount of IP saved. Sona’s soothing music comes in handy as well: plants are known to react well to music and she provides the best.
Therefore, any of these champions are good options to avoid farming but depending on your IP accumulation they may not always help enough.
On to skins then, Haunted Zyra might be discounted during next Harrowing so it could pay to play it safe; though it will take a while. Besidea, A July sale of Wildfire Zyra means that a discount shouldn’t be too far but it’s possible that the wait will continue.
Captain Long John Swain visited us not too long ago in his Bilgewater attire so that’s one to discard. Although, the Tyrant could be considering a return due as it was on sale on September. Yet, as Arctic incursions become more prevalent the arrival of the Northern Front seems imminent; especially as it hasn’t been discounted since last April.
Finally, it wasn’t long ago since Arcade Sona delighted us with her 8-bit tunes. Nonetheless, things look much more promising for Pentakill as it wasn’t discounted since the end of March, 2013. Another one with a bright future is Guqin if we consider that it hasn’t seen a sale for over a year. Thus, music aficionados, the time is right to outfit the Maven of the Strings.
