Summary
Period: 16th to 22nd of July, 2015
Bundles: Born to Kill, Coldies but Goodies plus Groundbreaking

Overview
A bundle celebrates the killer instinct, another coldness of ice hearts and a final one the impact of the land’s might. They all seem to share the importance of leaving a mark but do they? Are the bundles worth the attention they seek? Let’s see.
Born to Kill
Discount: 50%
Total Price: -> 4423 RP
Skins’ Price: -> 2623 RP
While this bundle has no skins that are really bad it does feel uneven. Ravenborn LeBlanc returns to a bundle, like in March, and along Headhunter Caitlyn they are the highlights. Both are terrific skins with much to offer. In fact, they offer so much that the difference with the other, simpler skins is quite noticeable. The main issue is that Dragonslayer Vayne and Headhunter Master Yi are essentially re-models at the same price; the latter far from its former, pre-update glory. Dragonslayer Pantheon is a skin that offers an interesting concept that doesn’t convince in execution; especially at its price.
The result is a bundle that has some attractive skins to offer but that, unsurprisingly, ties them to less desirable ones. None of the skins are an obstacle but some are far from how good they could or should be; if we consider how good the highlights are. Therefore, if you like or can stomach the simpler skins this is a bundle with a few nice options. Regardless, you may end up saving RP if you wait for a regular sale and only get the few skins that are really worthwhile.
Coldies but Goodies
Discount: 50%
Total Price: -> 4593 RP
Skins’ Price: -> 2584 RP
For the most part this is a great bundle except for the presence of Snow Bunny Nidalee. The rest of the skins are quite good; especially Ice Drake Shyvana and Frostblade Irelia. In spite of the high price Glacial Malphite is a great skin but Arctic Ops Varus trails behind as good but unable to do enough to go beyond that. Snow Bunny Nidalee only has its legacy label to speak for itself as the skin is a simple re-colour that does little to implement any part of the concept.
In the end, it all comes down to how much you like the better skins. Any of them have been or will be offered in a regular sale so with patience you can get specifically what you like without having to carry over the Snow Bunny. In case you have an interest in said legacy skin then the bundle is a good option but most will find that Nidalee has far superior options.
Groundbreaking
Discount: 40%
Total Price: 8735 -> 5241 RP
Skins’ Price: 5025 -> 3015 RP
In general this is a good bundle but both Arclight Vel’Koz and Haunted Maokai easily distinguish themselves from the rest. Not only are they more attractive in concept but also in implementation. Warring Kingdoms Jarvan IV and El Tigre Braum aren’t bad skins but they aren’t up to par with what can be expected at their price. On top of that, the 40% discount isn’t bad but certainly not as useful as 50%. Besides, there’s little reason why it couldn’t be higher.
This means that if you really like all the skins, including the less stellar ones, then the bundle is an option worth considering. Regardless, the better options can be got individually at a sale, for Arclight at least, which means that you can save RP. As it’s organized, it’s a bundle for those that can’t wait for a sale on Arclight and El Tigre with a legacy discount to seal the deal. However, that may not be enough if you really want the best skins for each champion.

Thank you so much the reviews helped a lot. I got the first bundle with ravenborn Leblanc and I must say that the skins are awesome. Also could you make ratings for chromas? I bought the chroma for headhunter master yi and it looks so much better.
Glad that you find the reviews useful. We’re certainly going to take care of Chroma Packs but with so much content in patch 5.14 we are a bit delayed. We’ll try to review them as soon as we can.
Ice Drake Shyvana got 1 star for some reason here- shouldn’t it be 4 stars?
It should definitely be four stars, it was an unfortunate oversight. Thanks for the correction.
Hi, just wanted to know if you recommend the Coldies but Goodies Bundle if I have all the champions in the pack and the fact I don’t like the Nidalee skin. In other words, is the bundle worth with the Nidalee skin guys? I may sound strange but I really take into account your reviews before purchasing content in League of Legends.
Don’t worry, we are glad to help.
In that specific case getting the Coldies but Goodies bundle depends on how much you like the four skins you are interested in and whether you are patient enough to wait for a regular sale for each skin. If you don’t like Snow Bunny Nidalee then it means that the four skins are 260 RP more expensive for the convenience of getting them all together.
If you wait for regular sales you can get each of the skins, sans Snow Bunny, for half their price but it wil take a good amount of time. It can take many months, even more than a year, to get a skin on sale but, as these skins are rather popular, chances are that they won’t be waiting for a year. Regardless, there are no certainties and with so many skins competing for such little sale space it can take a while.
In the end, it depends just how much you like these four skins. If you think that you’ll play them a lot then it could be useful to get them all at once even if you pay a little more. If you don’t mind waiting and have no problem in getting a skin and enjoying it until another one appears on sale then you can skip the bundle.
Additional information for better context: Arctic Op Varus hasn’t been on sale yet so it will be discounted eventually. Both Ice Drake Shyvana and Glacial Malphite were discounted on March so it’ll take a while to get to another sale. Frostblade Irelia was on sale on December so it has a better chance of returning yet it can still take a while.
