Overview
Pioneers of the Seven Seas meet the now sadistic Saltwater Scourge and the ever-charming Bounty Hunter. Never slow to make some gold, the buccaneers gathered unanimously agree in three corsair-inspired bundles. Yet, are these Bilgewater-born bundles worth a few pieces of eight? Avast, let’s see.
Bilgewater Veterans
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 8236 -> 4118 RP
Skins’ Price: 5992 -> 2996 RP
While there are no skins that are specifically bad there’s little doubt that some are better than others. In particular, the re-models at 975 RP aren’t exactly a highlight of the bundle. What may be is Pirate Ryze: it’s a discounted legacy skin and also one that offers a few extras to be worthwhile. Unfortunately, any of the other skins can perfectly be caught on a regular sale. Even though there are a few nice skins you could end up paying for skins you won’t use in the pursuit of a legacy discount.
In conclusion, this is a bit of an uneven bundle. It has some worthwhile skins but unless you like them all you’ll probably save RP if you just wait for sales and get what you like.
Gangplank’s Saltscourged
Discount: 25%
Total Price: 5503 -> 4127 RP
Skins’ Price: 4713 -> 3535 RP
New converts to the Gangplank’s cause will find in this bundle a rather convenient way of catching up with the pirate’s wardrobe. On the one hand, it’s a handy way of getting all Gangplank skins at once. On the other hand, it’s a bundle with a low 25% discount. Granted, two of the skins are legacy but they are retired legacy skins so they will be discounted at the Legacy Skin Vault sale at the end of the year; presumably.
In conclusion, unless you just can’t wait for a full dose of salt-water-flavoured style there is no reason to get this bundle. It surely is convenient for Gangplank fans but also more expensive than a regular sale.
Miss Fortune’s Bounty Hunter
Discount: 25%
Total Price: 6852 -> 5139 RP
Skins’ Price: 6063 -> 4547 RP
Leaving the best for last? Not really, sadly this bundle shares many issues with the previous one but also adds a few of its own. For starters, it doesn’t include all of Miss Fortune’s skins, Cowgirl is missing, yet it’s also the most expensive bundle due to the inclusion of a 1350 RP skin at a low discount. For the most part the skins are all quite good; though the re-models at 975 RP aren’t the best examples of value. In the end, even the presence of Candy Cane fails to tip the scales in its favour.
In conclusion, this is a bundle that would only suit those that can’t wait to get an ample yet incomplete wardrobe for Miss Fortune. The skins are good but the low discount means that you will be paying quite a bit for some convenience.
