Introduction: Making Plushies
“Is that a monster? Why is it always monsters?” The magical girl waved her staff in front of her as she walked. The creature in front of her was massive: she only reached up to his knee. It was a brute of muscle under a thick armour and heavier axe in hand. She looked up somewhat puzzled: “You won’t fit.” She pointed at the brute with her wand and it turned into a plush version of himself. “Now you are easier to carry.” The plush brute wacked with his wool axe left and right but couldn’t prevent being placed into a bag and carried away.
The day wasn’t over as an armoured warrior wielding a lance longer than himself showed up. She looked at this new encounter with the same puzzlement as before. “Hello.” “Hello, little girl. Did you see a big guy with an axe around here? I’ve been tasked with defeating him.” The magical girl took the plush brute from the bag and handed it to the armoured warrior. “Be careful: he could lose his wool axe.” The warrior picked up the plush brute and stared at it for a good while. “Are you looking for more plushies?” “Actually, I’m looking for a demonic armour…” “Don’t worry, I know about it. It’s next on the list.”
The armoured warrior followed the magical girl to a temple nearby. It was dark and menacing with shadows that undulated thanks to the dancing flames around the infernal armour in the centre of the main room. The armour looked at them with eyes of fire and readied its mace. “Take your toy, I’ll take care of him.” “Don’t worry, it won’t take a minute.” The magical girl pointed her wand at the armour and it turned into a wool plushy. She picked it up: “This is a warm plushy. Must be all that demonic fire. Now it’ll be much easier to handle. It’ll even be nice for a cold winter’s night.” She hugged the plushy. The armoured warrior received the plush demonic armour with an invisible raised eyebrow. “Thank you, little girl, I’ll be sure to mention the King about your help.” “Don’t worry, it’s lots of fun to make plushies.”
