Introduction: Battling Storms
The storm raged over the sea. The waves crashed left and right and the few unfortunate loose boats were pulled and pushed as if smacked by a lunatic. Lightning stroke the surface electrifying everything in its path. In the depths it was peaceful, dark and silent it was a calm night against furious dawns above. From the coast witnesses only saw nature unleashing its power. Deep in the sea, the story might’ve been different for anyone lucky or unlucky enough to be nearby.
In a boat a warrior held his shield high and prepared his spear. The waves rose and the waters took the form of a mounted knight wielding lightning as a spear. It stroke with thunder against the shield. The spear’s thrust went into it and the waters opened and crashed to the sides. Another vanquished foe but there were many more to come. A wave raised the boat and let it fall. The warrior held to the gunwales and the boat rumbled with violence. It wasn’t enough, he was only shaken and far from giving up.
The waves kept on coming. Minotaurs, centaurs and demons of all kinds tried to break his will. Their attacks failed against the shield. None of them resisted the spear’s strike. Eventually, the eye of the storm was before him. Floating above a whirlpool it glowed with electricity and stared at the warrior. He threw his spear and the eye blinked, deflecting it on the sea. Another spear was already in his hand and he stroke through the streaks of the electric eye. It shivered and dissipated along with the storm. Back on shore, he cleaned dutifully his boat and weapons and readied himself for the next storm.
