The man stood silent by the side of the lady. He was wearing shorts and had his hands and feet bandaged for protection. He looked normal enough but something that seemed strange were his empty eyes which he covered with a bandana. He stepped forward and took an open pose. He looked like an animal sensing his surroundings and taking in all the information he could. The soldiers looked at each other, some smiled with incredulity while others joked about the order given. Finally one, there’s always one with more brawns than brains, stepped forward.
The punch flew with a lot of strength but with little accuracy. The martial artist would’ve supposed that the soldier wasn’t trying to hurt him but he also had his orders. Still, orders were flexible so he simply ducked and pushed the soldier backwards. He staggered into his friends. From the expressions he heard, they didn’t like it. He was surrounded fast before punches and kicks flew towards him in a chaotic mess. They were too predictable, still. He simply stepped aside and through them and then looked at the group searching for him. He had to call their attention after a while.
“You little piece of…” They coordinated their attacks, this time it seemed like their training was finally taking over their vast egos. Sadly, that didn’t make the fighting any more interesting. They lacked discipline, got swept by emotion and lost focus on their target. It was simply too easy to throw them away. He tried his best not to hurt them, not because they were difficult to defeat but because they were quite stubborn. They had that on their side, at least. “Enough. I’m already tired and bored by your men’s incompetence. If this is the best you have then you need all the help you can get.
