Introduction: Concert Within a Concert
The chords strike ominous tunes and the fireworks start. Pentakill is on stage and the crowd gets out of control; so does the band. Their songs shake the stadium and the city. The night is young and no one is to catch a single ‘z’ when the concert is raging. All across town buildings vibrate to the rhythm of pure metal. Many that couldn’t get a ticket enjoy the extended area of influence. Many would rather they were more discreet in their activities.
Seeing as the message had been more than clearly presented to the band in numerous occasions, and yet they haven’t assimilated its meaning, action was to be taken by an odd couple of associates. One approached the stage from the side and punched the stands, making the inclined platform send the band straight in front of the little girl holding a teddy bear. The giant, flaming bear that erupted from it set fire to the stage and its paws sent the boastful members flying through the air.
Only a quiet string player remained who, naturally, continued to play. She smiled with a bit of pride in knowing well the meaning of all this show. The audience didn’t have a clue but as part of the spectacle they loved it. She delighted them with a few more songs of her own accord. Strong and mellow the booming though soft tunes enchanted the ears and delighted the minds of each listener; even the ones opposed to the usual Pentakill element. It was a night to remember and, perhaps, the beginning of a new career.
