Conclusion:
This week’s sale has a decidedly militaristic feel even if not all champions accompany the theme; though they all could: right Mr. Monkey King? Let’s give them a quick look.
The rebel of the week is Guerilla Tristana with her casual clothing and preposterous machine gun. Her aspect may be sensible but it’s also unexciting and a bit forced. Regardless, it delivers the intended idea so while there’s better it isn’t a bad skin.
Mr. Theme-spoil chooses a clear fire style for his monkey business and it’s actually thanks to his eye-catching flames that he stands out. Volcanic Wukong has an unpretentious concept but it provides attractive visuals. Fans of Wukong will find it one of his best skins.
The last skin pours the aesthetic of a modern army into a classic knight and we end with a pastiche. On the one hand it fulfils its promise but it does so in the most straightforward of ways. Garen fans may find Commando brings something different but it’s far from striking.

Conclusion:
Speaking of champions the best options to avoid IP farming are undoubtedly Fizz and Maokai. Tryndamere has a low enough price that it shouldn’t take long to unlock so a purchase is less attractive.
Moving on to skins we find something fishy: all of Fizz’s skins have been discounted already. Although Fisherman was on sale in January there are no warranties for when it could return.
The same can be said about our vegetal friend but in this case it was Charred Maokai that was discounted early, in February and Totemic on October. Additionally, his Haunted look is still too far off into next year. Still, if Festive is to your liking now is a chance to get Mr. Tree.
Finally, Sultan, King and Viking Tryndamere were discounted on 2013; King twice in fact. However, next 10th of December the legacy Highland Tryndamere will be on sale at 260 RP. Considering Tryndamere’s low IP price it’s feasible to unlock him with IP but if you have too many champions vying for this resource this sale can be a useful alternative.
