Conclusion:
This week the sales adopt a more eerie air with a touch of the rising sun. As an introduction to the upcoming Harrowing it offers some interesting options; let’s give them a look.
The sale opens with a sinister ghost of a knight charging forward. The problem is that the concept of ghost and knight isn’t successfully combined and their elements often clash against each other. Blood Knight Hecarim is a skin with an attractive concept but not the best execution.
The eastern feel of the sale is provided by Warlord Shen. While the skin accomplishes the general objective of the concept it’s implemented with a high quota of stylization. The result is a pastiche of samurai styles that ends up looking rather fantastic and flamboyant; though it has its appeal.
The skin sale closes with the aristocratic elegance suitable of a marquis. Marquis Vladimir has a great concept and fine execution that suits the Crimson Reaper perfectly. The class and sophistication offered by his looks are the ideal complement for his predator nature. Fans of Vladimir will find this skin a great choice.
Champions:
| Zed | |
| Kennen | Jax |
Conclusion:
The champion sale has a healthy dose of ninjas whose love of shadows fit into the nearby event. Both Zed and Kennen are good options to complete a champion roster and avoid a good amount of IP farming. Zed’s high IP price makes him the best option while Kennen has a more manageable, albeit still high, price.
When the time to lurk comes Zed only has his Shockblade skin to choose from; which was recently on sale. On the other hand, even if Kennen has had most of his skins on sale by the beginning of the year, his Arctic Ops skin hasn’t been discounted since last year and is a nice option.
Finally, there isn’t much reason to purchase Jax as his IP price is rather reasonable. Instead, RP is better spent in unlocking some of his many skins. Unfortunately, all of them have already been on sale this year. In the end, there’s no rush to acquire Jax as it shouldn’t take too much IP to hire him.
