The late August patch was finally deployed but as with all patches its installation seldom is flawless. If you find the patching process stuck at 33%, don’t panic it’s still working. It seems that the progress bar sometimes doesn’t synchronize well with the installation progress. You can check the remaining amount to download next to the download speed; that values should be updated correctly.
If after a while the patch seems to actually be stuck then you can consider closing the patching and attempting a self-repair. Launch the patcher again and click on the cogs to the left of minimize and close on the upper right. If that doesn’t work either, then Riot support is your better option.
Another thing that this patch brought was a controversial change to Dark Valkyrie Diana’s headgear; or to be more precise, its removal. While it’s understandable that the tiara was covering her distinct brand a complete removal seems rather drastic.
How about keeping the tiara with an opening over the forehead? What if the tiara consisted of a thin thread above or below the brand? Riot says that the change is to make her characteristic head shape easily recognizable and unique. It sure does that but it also erodes the personality of the skin; it’s not as if she greatly resembled a valkyrie to start with. What do you think?
