Overview
May leaves us and four bundles with skins associated by role, more or less, arrive to the store. There are a couple of legacy skins among them and some rather nice options. The question is: does the quality of the skins stay up along the best of each bunch? As always, we can only take a look and see. Still, even if bundles are chock-full of great skins you may wonder, what compensates buying a set if the discount is just like in a regular sale? In that case, there isn’t much to see here; legacy apart. At any rate, let’s find out what these bundles offer.
Dance Instructor
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9012 -> 4506 RP
Skins’ Price: 4792 -> 2396 RP
For fans of mages this is a bundle with rather good skins. Even the worst of the bunch aren’t bad really. Guardian of the Sands Xerath has much to owe, perhaps too much to Scorched Earth Xerath, but is still a good skin. Gothic Orianna may seem simplistic but is effective and cheap. Besides, seeing a fine discount on a great legacy skin like Snow Day Ziggs is never a bad thing. Truth be told, chances are that you won’t find any bad skins unless you only want the latest and most elaborate ones. If you don’t mind good stuff old and new then this is a good bundle.
Battle Medics
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9032 -> 4516 RP
Skins’ Price: 5544 -> 2772 RP
Support in good looks. Much like the previous bundle there aren’t any bad skins and a few that are quite nice. Dryad Soraka may seem simple though it conveys its message. Koi Nami also doesn’t have the flair of other skins but has some appealing features that define an identity. All in all, while the best skins do stand out from the older ones there isn’t anything to avoid so it’s a good option to consider.
Flash Mastery
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9426 -> 4713 RP
Skins’ Price: 5022 -> 2511 RP
More eclectic than the previous bundles such unevenness is also felt in the skin selection. Redeemed Riven stands out, despite its age, due to the lore relevance and suitability. PROJECT: Katarina is also a charming skin despite being somewhat complacent. The others share the same problem: they are good but only do enough to get away with their proposals. If you only want the best then this isn’t the bundle. If good enough is enough then this could be interesting if you chance to like everything included; no advantage for getting something you don’t like.
Ranged Heroes
Discount: 50%
Total Price: 9578 -> 4789 RP
Skins’ Price: 5174 -> 2587 RP
The final bundle takes some distance from the others but not enough. Most of the skins are new though that doesn’t guarantee that they are elaborate and special. There’s nothing bad, to be fair, but even the newer offerings don’t do all they could’ve to stand out as their concepts would imply. Overall, it’s a good bundle but if the simpler re-models aren’t to your liking then the recent retirement of Heartseeker Vayne may not be reason enough to convince you.
