Animal spirits, a ghost after souls and an underwater monster appear in this week’s sale. It all seems rather ominous so let’s grab our lanterns and dive into the dark.

Conclusion:

Even though Primal Udyr isn’t the pinnacle of what he can offer the skin does a lot with only model changes. Each stance receives an attractive and distinct appearance that clearly identifies the associated animal. At its price, it’s a skin that is effective at reinforcing Udyr’s identity. For fans of Udyr, ultimates aside, this is the best option.

If we ignore the processed voice-over then Soul Reaver Draven has no justification for its high price. The fact that the model is plain and the visuals rather monochromatic certainly don’t help matters either. Even Draven’s personality struggles to accommodate a supernatural base. In the end, it’s an option for fans of the Executioner but there’s better.

A full re-model that reinterprets the Terror of the Void as a horror from the depths makes Loch Ness Cho’Gath a wonderful skin. The model is simply eloquent and makes a great job at providing a new aesthetic to Cho’Gath. The only complaint would be that the particles haven’t been modified to keep things consistent but, at this price, it’s a skin that does an excellent job.

Champions:

Zed

Talon Evelynn
Talon Splash Art Evelynn Splash Art
880 -> 440 RP / 4800 IP 585 -> 292 RP / 1350 IP

Conclusion:

Let the shadows guide you in the way to save IP but Zed knows that everything comes at a price; a lot of RP in this case. One might instead prefer a good blade to cut on IP expenses so Talon is another option. Speaking of shadows, one could also consider searching for Evelynn but as her IP price is quite manageable there’s no point in spending RP.

If shadows aren’t enough then one can always rely on lightning to deliver one’s point. Zed has adopted that practice and can be often seen wielding a Shockblade or two. Last time we saw him around sales was in September so we may have to wait a bit but he’s bound to return.

In spite of his secrecy Talon can be seen lurking around from time to time. From sales’ window, we last saw him disguised as a common Renegade last October. Previously, in August, he proudly wore his Crimson Elite and, before that, April saw him putting his Dragonblade to good use. Thus, as we celebrate the year anniversary of his Dragonblade without a discount we can wait hoping that he’ll reappear soon.

As Evelynn’s Safecracker profession has been plagued with hitches and hiccups she hasn’t yet been confident enough to offer such a service at a discount; but she will. In the meantime, she dissolves as a Shadow and lets her dark style become a fashion; in March she said it was. It might be better welcome than her Tango lessons which have gone by for over a year without a discount, January 2014; dancing isn’t what it used to be.
