Period: 18th to 21st of June, 2013
Skins: Baron Von Veigar, Bandito Fiddlesticks and Woad Ashe
Champions: Orianna, Olaf and Rengar
This sale may have a good amount of evil forces in it but it’s actually the Frost Archer’s good nature that shines the brightest. Woad Ashe provides an appealing and distinct Celtic look that no Ashe fan should dismiss. On top of that, it also offers green particles and a low price, what more could anyone ask for?
As we move to more malignant choices we find interesting concepts but not the most satisfying implementations. Both Bandito Fiddlesticks and Baron Von Veigar have nice concepts that fit both their natures. Yet, while the models look good the skins lack something else to make them stand out. They aren’t bad choices nor hardly impressive either.
If you want to cut through a good deal of IP farming then it would be a good idea to hunt Rengar down and add him to your champion roster. In terms of looks, Headhunter Rengar should go on sale not too far in the future but it isn’t as striking as it could. Depending on how much IP you usually gather you could rely on your reserves but a purchase now would be the safest bet to be ready for his skin.
Orianna also could be a good purchase if you want to avoid farming based on how much IP you are usually able to accrue. She does have some nice skins and the best could go on sale anytime soon. Therefore, if you want to play it safe it’s worth considering a purchase. However, if you usually accumulate a lot of IP her IP price won’t prove much of an obstacle. Besides, sales are unpredictable and you may find enough IP by then.
Finally, Olaf is better unlocked with plain old IP due to the low IP price. He has a few interesting skins; though nothing fantastic. Regardless, Pentakill Olaf will still take a while to go on sale even if there isn’t much else to highlight. Therefore, there is no rush to unlock Olaf unless you are in dire need of a berserker.
