Conclusion:

Quite a nice sale we have this week with an assortment of themes that cover flora, fauna and minerals plus refinement with a touch of villainy. The best choice is Monarch Kog’Maw as for a low price you get a skin that is rather effective in turning Kog’Maw into a Void butterfly. The changes aren’t extensive but they surely are nice and effective; which make Monarch Kog’Maw an excellent option.

Marble Malphite and Superb Villain Veigar are also good skins with a style of their own. Malphite displays an irregular, moss covered body with a distinct aesthetic. He may look a tad fragile but at least the skin has a clear identity. All in all, it’s an attractive look for Malphite with a rather nice price.

In the case of Superb Villain Veigar, the skin is a perfect fit for the Master of Evil. Not only does he display a great deal of elegance but he suitably mixes it with a good dose of malice. The new Event Horizon particles are icing on the cake so this is a great skin for Veigar fans; even if it doesn’t mix his cosmic powers into the concept that well.

Champions:

Renekton

Nami Nidalee

975 -> 487 RP / 6300 IP 790 -> 395 RP / 3150 IP

Conclusion:

If you want to avoid farming IP maybe you should consider fishing it. That would be the case if you acquire Nami’ help in this sale as she proves to be a good catch in that regard. Koi Nami may still take a while to go on sale yet you may want to be prepared. Although, considering the unpredictability of sales you may find enough IP by the time it’s discounted.

Renekton surely is a professional butcher, of the kind you don’t want to cross, but his blade isn’t exactly tailored to harvest IP. Depending on how much IP you usually get from the fields Renekton may be worth purchasing to avoid farming or not. He also has a nice selection of skins, which may take a while to go on sale, so you might consider waiting; unless you are eagerly expecting Scorched Earth Renekton.

Finally, Nidalee is better unlocked with plain old IP instead of RP. Her IP price isn’t unreachable and RP is better reserved for her numerous skins; some of which are rather nice. Besides, Headhunter Nidalee was released not too long ago so a sale is still a long way from coming.
