Conclusion:
This weekend sale has a trio of good skins that for one reason or another don’t manage to reach greatness. Let’s give them a look.
A functional and refined armour along a circular blade are the highlights of Rune Wars Renekton. The aspect offers a sense of civility that, while interesting, clashes with the Butcher’s innate brutality. Overall, it’s an attractive skin that offers something different.
The idea behind the Crimson Elite is definitely appealing. However, it hasn’t been exploited well as in this case. The implementation sticks too close to Talon’s classic design so even if the general idea is delivered the result is rather messy. On the whole, it’s a skin that isn’t as good as it could’ve been.
Every great invention has a prototype and the great evolution is no exception. As such, Viktor’s coarse draft of his fully mechanical self is clear but maybe too explicit in its communion of flesh and metal. Fans of Viktor might find it an essential plan of the great plan but the final model is undoubtedly superior.

Conclusion:
There are several ways of saving on IP farming and the best options in this weekend sale are Varus and Talon. The former has a high IP price so a purchase would help quicken the completion of a champion roster. The latter’s IP price is high but for those that gather huge amounts of IP could be manageable.
In terms of skins, Blight Crytal Varus is the only option for the Arrow of Retribution and not a very good one: for a finished product it seems a tad inconsistently implemented. The superior alternative of Arclight Varus was on sale by the middle of the year so it would take a while for it to re-emerge.
Talon already offers his Crimson Elite facet on sale so it could be a good option to get both for the price of one; thanks to the sale. Dragonblade was on sale by the beginning of the year, before Crimson Elite, but there’s no telling when it could return. Renegade Talon was discounted even before that so that’s a possibility.
Finally, Karthus’ reasonable IP price makes a purchase less than ideal. On top of that, all of his skins have been on sale this year. Therefore, as there’s no real rush to unlock him it shouldn’t take too long to acquire enough IP to save on spending any RP.
